Bobby Laws Traveling Gavel Rules
- Requires five or more members from a visiting Lodge to attend a stated meeting of the Lodge in possession of the Gavel.
- The Gavel is only available for capture after it has been in possession of a capturing Lodgee for 28 days.
- The Gavel is not to leave the Grand Jurisdiction of the State of Oklahoma. The Gavel is to be returned to Altus Lodge #62 at any time it remains unclaimed by another Lodge for 6 months by the Lodge having custody at the time.
- If two or more Lodges have the required five or more members in attendance its capture will be awarded as follows:
- Visiting Lodge with the most members present.
- Same number of visitors from two or more Lodges, it will be claimed by the most distant Lodge.
- The capturing Lodge is required to notify the Altus Lodge Secretary and the Grand Secretary of the Grand Lodge of Oklahoma (and please notify okmasonmail@gmail.com so I may keep this site up to date)
- If there are two or more Gavels available for capture, the Bobby Laws Traveling Gavel cannot be captured along with another Gavel.
