Hooker Lodge #366 Traveling Gavel Rules
1) In order for one Lodge to acquire this gavel from another Lodge it is necessary for the Worshipful Master, Senior and Junior Wardens, along with two other members to go and get it.
2) In case of a tie, the Lodge traveling the longest distance will lay claim to the gavel.
3) If there is still a tie, the Lodge with the LOWEST combined age of the visiting Brethren will take the gavel with them.
4) If more than the minimum number show up to get the gavel this is great, but they have no more right to the gavel than the Lodge with just the minimum number. This is placed in the rules so a small Lodge has the same chances of getting it as a large Lodge.
5) It shall be the duty of the Lodge losing the gavel to inform the Lodge receiving it of all the duties that go along with it. They shall also remind them that the location of the gavel shall be reported to OKMasonMail.
6) The gavel shall remain in the capturing Lodge at all times.
7) The gavel will NEVER be taken out of the state of Oklahoma.
8) The Lodge laying claim to the gavel will make an entry in the book which accompanies the gavel as to who came and got it, the date, and if possible some pictures.
9) Each capturing Lodge should challenge other Lodges around them to come and get the gavel.
10) These rules can only be changed by the written consent of Hooker Lodge #366
